Year 2 Football festival

The Year 2s did a super job representing out school in their football festival. St Francis School held a football competition against the local schools, with the sports leaders assisting in how it was run.

The children had a brilliant time developing their skills and teamwork in a competitive yet fun environment.

Year 6 Netball Competition

Congratulations to the Year 6 Netball team. Through super teamwork and great sportsmanship the children managed to come 2nd place to the local schools.

The children supported one another and helped eachother throughout the competition, proudly representing the school in their new kit.

Year 4 Dodecathlon

Well done to Year 4 for taking part in the Dodecathlon, pariticipating with many schools to develop their skills in a variety of sports. The children worked well as a team and proudly represented St Francis School.

New Sports Kit

This year our Sports Leaders have been involved in designing in our new sports kit ready for when competing in competitions. They were over the moon to receive the finished product this week. We were extremely lucky to be sponsored by 5 small local businesses, helping us afford these lovely kits. The children are extremely proud of the kit and said they cannot wait to wear it and participate in more sporting competitions in the future.

18/19 Sporting achievements

St Francis Primary school has had a fantastic year taking part in various sports competitions and developing their skills at competing and workings as a team. Here are some of the following results;

Lacrosse Yr 5 mixed - 1st and 2nd place

Yr 5 and 6 football - (Mixed)1st place - we also entered an all girls team and an all boys teams which had fantastic games.

Yr 3 and 4 Athletics - 1st, 2nd and 4th place

Yr 2 Athletics competition - 2nd place.

We have also taken part in a variety of dance, netball and musical performances.
